Academia del Pueblo (ADP) is proud to celebrate a momentous academic milestone. We are thrilled to announce that Kamilah Gonzalez, a 4th grade student at ADP, has achieved a perfect score on the 2024 Arizona Academic Standards Assessment (AASA) in Math. This remarkable feat is a testament to Kamilah's hard work and dedication, and it marks the first time in over a decade that an ADP student has reached such an achievement.
The AASA is known for its rigorous standards, designed to assess students' understanding and mastery of Arizona's academic benchmarks. Scoring perfectly on this challenging test is a rare accomplishment, demonstrating not only Kamilah’s exceptional abilities but also the high-quality education provided by ADP. This achievement shines a light on the supportive learning environment cultivated at ADP, where students are encouraged to pursue academic excellence.
Assistant Principal Jose Hernandez expressed his pride and admiration for Kamilah’s accomplishment: “In my 8 years in education, I have never seen such a remarkable achievement. This shows Kami's amazing perseverance and dedication to her academics. We are so incredibly proud of her, and we hope she continues to strive for excellence at Academia del Pueblo! Congratulations Kami!”
Kamilah’s success also speaks to the commitment of her family and the educators at ADP, who work collaboratively to ensure students reach their full potential.
