Academia del Pueblo (ADP) is proud to announce its partnership with the Japanese Friendship Garden as part of the Garden for Peace program. This initiative brought together ADP’s 8th grade students for an unforgettable experience, celebrating peace and community through the serene beauty of the garden.
The Garden for Peace program is a nationwide project that invites local communities to their nearest Japanese gardens to engage in activities that foster peace and promote unity. At its core, the program seeks to create spaces where individuals can reflect, learn, and participate in peaceful practices inspired by Japanese garden traditions.
ADP students participated in this inspiring event, engaging with the unique elements of the garden and learning about how cultural spaces can serve as symbols of peace. Through the program, the students had the opportunity to explore concepts of tranquility and harmony while also strengthening community bonds.
The Japanese Friendship Garden provided the perfect backdrop for this celebration, with its beautiful landscape and rich cultural significance. The students were able to appreciate not only the aesthetic beauty of the garden but also the powerful message it conveys about peace and cooperation.
Principal Frank expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “This partnership with the Japanese Friendship Garden was an amazing opportunity for our students to learn about peace in a unique and immersive way. We are thrilled to be part of such a meaningful program.”
Academia del Pueblo remains committed to providing its students with diverse educational experiences that extend beyond the classroom, fostering both academic and personal growth. The Garden for Peace program exemplifies this mission, offering students the chance to explore important global concepts while also building connections within their own community.
We look forward to more collaborations with the Japanese Friendship Garden and other community initiatives that align with our values of education, peace, and unity.
