Academia del Pueblo is a kindergarten through 8th grade charter school part of Friendly House.
Academia del Pueblo offers a comprehensive elementary school curriculum that employs high academic standards and strategic curriculum interventions designed to meet and excel Arizona College and Career Readiness State Standards in kindergarten through eighth grade.
Our highly qualified teachers create innovative lesson plans to challenge and inspire students to become global thinkers and community leaders. All students receive rigorous instruction in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Computer Education, Physical Education, and Spanish.

Dear Friendly House Team, Board, Parents and Stakeholders,
For the past several years a private, global corporation has adopted the school for Christmas and provided hand-delivered gifts for students. It is the single, most magical event we have on campus each year. Students write a letter to Santa for the gift of their choice up to $25 and the amazing corporate elves would purchase the exact gift requested and Santa delivers the gift before Winter Break. For many of our children, this is Christmas.
However, due to the pandemic and changes in leadership, the corporation no longer sponsors these types of community giving events. This has a significant emotional impact to our students, as for some, the gift they receive during the school gift giving event, is their ONLY gift for the Christmas season.
Here is a highlight video of the Curbside event in 2020. The pandemic shut down the school two days before the gift giving event, but the human spirit and love prevailed, and we found a way to deliver the gifts curbside on a Saturday and Sunday:

We currently have 320 students from grades Pre-Kindergarten to 8th grade. We are now turning to our Friendly House team, Board, and school community to find a way to keep this magical event alive this school year. Who knows, perhaps we establish a new tradition for the annual gift giving event at ADP. Our goal is to raise $9,000, which provides a gift of up to $25 in value to every student on the campus of ADP from preschool to 8th grade.
